“We have used these guys a number of times for our family-owned rental building. To respond to the growing demand, we decided to gradually switch from carpet to hardwood flooring in our suites. And thankfully, the original floors still existed underneath the old carpet, but in a quite rough shape. Hardwood floor refinishing In was our solution. They restored the floor to a like-new condition at very reasonable prices. Thank you for your great job!”

Thickness of wear layer is an important feature of engineered hardwood floor. Planks with 2mm top layer can be easily scratched down revealing lower layers. Floor with a top layer of 3mm or more can be sanded and refinished in case of any surface damages or deep scratches, and generally costs more, with all other features being equal.
Engineered hardwood flooring comes in various width. 5″ plank is considered to be a classic plank width for engineered hardwood floor and the least expensive with other qualities being equal. 7.5″ wide plank flooring is the most common option as wider planks visually expand the place and are most stable for installation.
Three-layered engineered hardwood is less stable than multilayered engineered hardwood. With a less number of layers in the hardwood core, the wood is more likely to start swelling and shrinking. While multilayered engineered hardwood is more than three layers criss-cross which enhances its stability.
